List of hot air balloon festivals in Ukraine. Calendar
Every year balloon festivals gather a huge number of spectators and participants. At the same time, during such events, guests can take to the air, capture landscapes from a height and, together with an instructor, take an express course on how to control it. By the way, on bimbarent you can ride a hot air balloon in Ukraine without waiting for the start of festival.
Please note that the dates of are unstable, flights are possible only with light wind and no precipitation.
The Aeronautics Federation of Ukraine is responsible for changing the dates of sports festivals, and private organizers – for commercial sky events.
So, where and when hot air balloon flights take place in Ukraine?
Aeronautic Fiesta – Pereyaslav
City of Pereyaslav, Kiev region. Flights are scheduled for early May.
Podillya Cup in Kamianets-Podilskyi
It takes place in the Khmelnitsky region in the third week of May.
Aeronautic Fiesta – Carpathian Cup 1st stage
Start in the village of Skhidnytsia, in the Lviv region. Approximately 3rd week of June.
Dnipro Open Sky
As you guessed, flights take place in the city of Dnipro. Estimated dates are the second wk of August.
Alexandrian Fairy
Event takes place in the third w of September in Bila Tserkva near Kiev.
Independence Day Festival
By Independence Day in the Kyiv region there are regular flights – 24 Aug.
Sloboda Cup
On the same dates, the previous capital (Kharkiv) hosts its portion of aeronautical fiesta.
Lviv Fly Fest
A popular event in the city of Lviv. Looking forward to the 2nd week of September.
Gold Omega
You need to come to the city of Kamenets-Podolsky, Khmelnytsky region. During the festival it will be possible to fly on the 2nd wk of October.
Carpathian Cup 2nd stage
Rounding out the festival calendar the village Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk region, the third w of October.
Montgolfier
One of the loudest private Ukrainian festival. The event is held several times throughout the year. Look for Montgolfiere in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkassy, Kremenchug and Poltava.
